On July 6, MetaMask, a popular cryptocurrency wallet browser extension, launched an improved user interface with its latest v10.33 update, aimed at providing a more simplified and intuitive Web3 experience.
With the new design, the top interface has been optimized by condensing the previous two rows into a single, streamlined row. Now this single row includes wallet address, connection status, network selection, and account selection.
In an effort to enhance transparency, site connections have been relocated to the top right corner of the interface. As a result, users can clearly view and manage the Dapps that interact with their MetaMask wallet.
Responding to user feedback, MetaMask has separated the account selection from the global menu navigation. The account avatar now appears alongside the account name, making it more convenient to switch between accounts.
Additionally, the network selector has been moved to the top left corner of the header. Each network now carries a distinct association with its corresponding token, aiding users in distinguishing between different chains and boosting user security.
